Dr. Mongiovi was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Hempfield High School in Landisville, PA, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Villanova University. During his time at Villanova, he was actively involved in various activities, including the Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity and volunteering for the Special Olympics.
After graduation, Dr. Mongiovi attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with top honors and received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.). He was inducted into the UPENN Matthew Cryer Honor Society and the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society. Following dental school, he completed an additional two years of specialized training at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Specialist degree in Orthodontics.
Dr. Mongiovi served as President of Penn’s Orthodontic Society and has published multiple research articles in respected journals, including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He currently serves as a Clinical Associate Instructor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Mongiovi enjoys traveling with his wife and two daughters. He is also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Villanova basketball.
