Mongiovi Orthodontics Events
A Treats for Troops Update! For the third year in a row, Mongiovi Orthodontics has run a Treats for Troops collection during the week after Halloween. This year’s collection was a huge success and has once again demonstrated how supportive our local community is when it comes our Troops. Mongiovi Orthodontics collected 600 pounds of Halloween candy this year, with large contributions from the students at St. Cornelius School in Chadds Ford and St. Maximillian Kolbe School in West Chester. To match their generosity, Dr. Vincent Mongiovi matched $1 for every pound of candy donated and made a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for a total of $600. All of the candy was donated to the USO office located in Philadelphia. The candy will be sent to our Troops serving overseas and will also be distributed to Troops through our local USO offices here at home. Support from the local community is key to the USO’s goal to provide assistance to military members and their families. Mongiovi Orthodontics is looking forward to continuing their Treats for Troops campaign again next Halloween. The program is a great way to reduce the amount of candy that children intake and helps to keep teeth and bodies healthier. It certainly provides a tremendous opportunity for us all to do something nice for the men and women that protect us and to help out a wonderful cause to help cure diabetes. Dr. Mongiovi would like to thank everyone in the local community that helped to make the collection a huge success.
Walk with Us and Support the JDRF! For the second year, Mongiovi Orthodontics walked to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The walk took place in October at Rockford Park in Wilmington, Delaware. It was a 3 mile walk.
